We stayed in a Teepee. LOVED IT! It was more than we could have expected. The camp location was easy to navigate and close to the attractions to see. Perfect location. Wonderful people in the office. Showers and Restroom were very clean and comfortable. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the trip and one of the favorites was staying in a Teepee. Thank you for the added wonderful memories.
5 Stars! Family friendly!
We came here to celebrate my toddlers second birthday with family. I must say, I was extremely surprised at this gorgeous campground. There's not too much noise from the road, there are wild deer everywhere, the owners are SUPER nice, there's free little train rides that circle the camp at 4-7pm, a cute little area where they have shows, mini golf, a playground, a pool, FREE COFFEE, so many camp sites, cabins, and even REAL TEEPEES(sp?)!!! Next time we are definitely trying out the tee pees! My husband and I camped out, while our family grabbed a smaller log cabin! They got calamity James cabin! The weather was amazing, we got wind, a little rain, and sunshine everyday! The mountains surrounded the campground, it was so pretty. Would 100% come here every time we visit this magical area of South Dakota! The only neg thing, is that there's only 1 set of bathrooms. But, they're SO nice, it wasn't even a big deal! I just sort of wish they put the restrooms and showers more near the actual camp sites, instead of across the road from all the RVs and cabins. The bathrooms are so nice, the people in RVs don't want to use their own showers and toilets.. but they're adding another bathroom area next year so I guess that's a plus! Great campground, def check it out!! Happy campers here!!

Stayed in the cabins for a week. Had a great experience. Clean, warm, and very nice accommodations. Big plus to have electric in cabins for fans, chargers, etc. Bath house close and modern; always clean. The place as a whole is very well taken care of. The little store has many of the basic needs and reasonably priced. Can't say enough nice things about the office staff and grounds crew. All of them were very friendly and helpful. Always made us feel they were happy we were there and ready to help if needed. Will be staying there again. Thank you!!

Great place and friendly people
We stayed here for 2 nights during part of our family vacation and the people running the place were so nice. They gave us tips on what to see in the area and super friendly. I'd stay here again for sure. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable! Nice clean place!
The staff was excellent and the price per night was great. The whole camp ground was clean and maintained. The bath house/laundry was a big plus, very clean. We pulled a 39 ft 5th wheel and had no problem getting into to assigned slot. Very quiet with no street sounds. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place to stay. There was cabins and tent space to rent also.
We camped here in a pull-through sight for 3 nights in early August. The campground is walking distance from Custer and close to attractions--Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, and the Needles. The kids loved the free train, pool and upper playground. The mini golf needs updated, but for $1 per ball to play as much as you like it was well worth it (and gave the kids a fun and inexpensive souvenir). The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Top Notch Hospitality
Stayed here for a special event with a large group of friends. What a wonderful experience! The cabins were warm and cozy despite the chilly weather. The bathrooms and showers were VERY clean and very nice! The staff were the real stars of the stay. Gail and Bob were very accommodating, informational, and gracious. I would stay here again in heart beat. (The price was also quite nice!)
Let's be friends!
